Ambassador Sheriff Mulade has reacted with profound appreciation and a renewed sense of duty following his appointment as the National Deputy President of the Nigeria National Mini Football Association (NIMFA).
Speaking after formally receiving his appointment letter at the Africa For Peace Games Village (APGV), Ambassador Mulade expressed gratitude to the President of NIMFA, Alhaji Datti Umar Yusuf, the Secretary General, Paul Maduakor, and members of the national executive for finding him worthy of the position. He described the appointment as both an honour and a responsibility to further advance the growth of mini football in Nigeria.
The Delta State Mini Football Association Chairman noted that the recognition was a testament to the collective efforts, dedication, and consistency of the Delta State executive in promoting the sport at both grassroots and competitive levels. He acknowledged the trust placed in him and Comrade Clarkson Ogo, assuring the federation that they would justify the confidence through hard work, loyalty, and results-driven leadership.
Ambassador Mulade pledged to work collaboratively with the NIMFA leadership to strengthen institutional frameworks, deepen youth participation, and expand mini football’s reach across communities nationwide. He emphasized that mini football remains a powerful tool for youth engagement, social inclusion, peacebuilding, and national unity, aligning with his long-standing advocacy for peace and development.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to bringing his experience in leadership, community mobilization, and national coordination to bear in supporting NIMFA’s vision, adding that his focus would be on sustainable growth, strategic partnerships, and positioning mini football as a major force in Nigeria’s sporting ecosystem.
