Matchday One and Two of The Elite League 2026 delivered thrilling encounters, high-scoring games, and dramatic finishes as Under-14 teams across Delta State began their quest for glory in the grassroots competition.

The standout performance came from Valencia FA, who recorded a staggering 14–0 demolition of Soccer ABC Football School, the biggest win of the opening rounds and an early statement of title intent. Great Avengers FA also impressed with a commanding 9–1 victory over Dynasty Shooters FA, underlining the attacking quality on display in the youth league.

Elsewhere, Top Stars FA edged Hazon FA 3–2 in a closely fought contest, while FA Medina secured a narrow 2–1 win over Angalabiri FA. Everlight FA and Kollins FA each picked up slim 1–0 victories against Babanawa FA and Lordmark FA respectively, highlighting the competitive balance among several teams.

A number of matches ended in stalemates, including Asisa FA’s 2–2 draw with Mamus FA and Chosen Stars FA’s identical scoreline against Winners FA, suggesting that no side will have an easy path to qualification from the group stage.

Other results saw Tpack FA defeat Superior Eagles FA 3–0, Unique Stars FA overcome Grace Stars FA 3–1, and Joetia FA edge Brave Talented FA 2–1. Golden Albium FA, Delta Warriors FA, Celestial FA, and MP10 FA all secured narrow victories over Successful Pillars FA, Victory Stars FA, Determine Heart FA, and JOIF FA respectively.

With goals, upsets, and dominant performances already shaping the early standings, organizers say the opening fixtures have set a high tempo for what promises to be an exciting and highly competitive season in the Elite League, a tournament designed to nurture the next generation of football talents in Delta State.

More matches are scheduled in the coming days as teams battle for supremacy and progression from the group stage.
