Ex-Int,Sodje Pays Emotional Tribute to Late Striker Enaromo

Former Nigerian international has expressed deep sorrow over the death of his former Super Eagles teammate, , describing the loss as painful and deeply personal.

In a heartfelt tribute shared on Tuesday, Sodje recalled his close relationship with Eneramo, revealing that both men had spoken just days before his passing and were making plans to meet in Abuja. He described the late striker as not just a colleague, but a friend and former roommate during their time in the national team camp.

“My heart bleeds in total pain just to think that we will never meet again on this part of the world,” Sodje said.

Sodje also reflected on memorable moments they shared, particularly highlighting a special experience in Tunis, Tunisia, where he witnessed firsthand the admiration and respect Eneramo enjoyed from football fans.

“I can't forget our very special day in Tunis, where I saw first hand the prestige and love that you enjoy in that country,” he added.

The former defender praised Eneramo’s character, noting his kindness, friendship, and dedication to humanity, alongside his contributions to Nigerian football.

“I pray God to grant your soul peace in His bosom because you truly deserve same for your kindness, friendship and your love for the good of mankind,” Sodje said.

He further acknowledged the joy and excitement the late forward brought to fans during his time with the Super Eagles.

Eneramo, fondly nicknamed “The Tank,” is remembered as a key figure in Nigeria’s national team, celebrated for both his talent on the pitch and his impact off it.
