By Chimaobi J N.
The management board of Green Alliance Football Academy (GAFA) has approved and paid for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) enrolment of its players, as part of efforts to promote both academic and football development.
The players received confirmation of their examination registration payments over the weekend, a move widely seen as a significant boost to their educational pursuits alongside their sporting careers.
Reacting to the development, GAFA Head Coach, Ehis Arhimen, commended the board and management for what he described as a forward-thinking initiative. He noted that the gesture would not only motivate the players but also secure their long-term future beyond football.
Arhimen emphasized that combining education with sports remains vital in shaping well-rounded individuals, adding that the academy’s commitment reflects a broader vision of empowering young talents both on and off the pitch.
