The delegation of Green Alliance FootballAcademy(GAFA) currently in the United Kingdom has paid a strategic visit to Charlton Athletics FC as part of ongoing efforts to expand international partnerships and football development opportunities.


The GAFA team, led by Chief Executive Officer Johnbull Eghreriniovo and Chief Operating Officer , Sam Sodje,was received at the club’s facilities where they engaged in productive discussions with officials of Charlton Athletic.


The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to explore areas of mutual interest.



The delegation was also taken on a tour of the club’s training facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the professional environment and operational standards of English football.


Speaking on the visit, members of the GAFA CEO,Johnbull Eghreriniovo, expressed satisfaction with the level of engagement, noting that the experience would significantly contribute to improving the academy’s structure and player development framework back home in Nigeria.


They further emphasized that  expososur established clubs like Charlton Athletic could help create clearer pathways for young talents within GAFA to access international and professional opportunities.



The visit marks another significant milestone in GAFA’s UK tour, reinforcing the academy’s commitment to building strong global ties and adopting best practices that will elevate grassroots football development in Nigeria.


Further engagements are expected as the delegation continues its strategic tour across the United Kingdom.

The highlight of the reunion was the honour bestowed on former head coach, Benjamin Okomoh , who was gifted Two  million naira by his ex-players in appreciation of the discipline, mentorship and values he instilled in them during their playing days.
